About the Event

As the Shredding of the guitars and the beating of the drums picks up steam, heads bang along to the music. A highlight of the festival and an emblem of the talent suffused in the many faces in the crowd, this is one event to hold your breath for Rock-O-Phonix, the holy grail of rock! The winner takes all...!

Rules :-
- Registrations are done at prelims.alcheringa.co.in.
- Only English or Hindi language is allowed.
- Every team has to submit a link to their best performance.
- Bands need to carry their own instruments. Only a standard
drum set without double bass pedal would be provided.
- Explicit or offensive lyrics/gestures guarantee immediate
expulsion from the stage.
- Booze/drugs/smoke are strictly not allowed in the campus.
- Decision of judges will be final and binding.
- Special rewards will be given for best drummer, best vocals,
best guitarist, best bassist and best original composition.

Prefinals :-
- Each band will have 30 minutes on stage including sound
check. They will have to leave the stage after 30 minutes of
penalty shall be imposed.
- Marking scheme is subject to judges.

Finals :-
- Finalists would be allocated 45 minutes to performance
including sound check.
- Finalists need to have at least one original composition of
minimum duration of 3 minutes.
- Marking scheme is subject to judges.
